Writers' Profiles

  Bobby Holder

Bobby is the Founder and the Artistic Director of The Actor's Project NYC. He has written, directed, performed, and produced several original theatrical productions in NYC: 3-D Improv NYC, What's a Vampire (a black comedy at Grove St. Playhouse), and LMNOP (an original two-character play). Bobby has had eight original plays produced: Screams of the Butterflies,Understand Me, Scandal in NYC, The Imagination Window, My Big Brother, Confused in Florida, Mother-Son-Daughter-Neighbor-Neighbor's Son-Maid-and the Telephone Man, and Storm in Alabama. Bobby graduated with a B.A. in Theatre from the University of West Florida and toured for five years with different theatre companies (Rep Theatre of America, C Theatre). He has also written and performed for ABC's television morning show Daybuster's.



Claysey Everett

Claysey started writing in 2003 when she started developing her first one-woman show. Since then she has written several comedic monologues and sketchs and co-wrote The Whiney and Bitchy Variety Hour with fellow performer Lisa McQuade.

Kelley Lynn

Kelley Lynn is a graduate of Adelphi University where she currently teaches Dramatics and Standup Comedy, helping students to write their own sets. She has also directed and written several cabarets, sketch-comedy shows, and short scenes; including a new ending for her version of the popular off-broadway production "Parallel Lives, the Kathy and Mo Show." Kelley is enjoying performing and writing with The Actor's Project NYC.


Tina Xenos

Tina Xenos is a stand up comedian who writes all her own material. As a member of The Actor's Project NYC, she has written and performed in “Shoe Store,” “Date With The Paramedics,” “Too Big For Radio City,” and “Life Boat: The Tina Xenos Show.” Tina has written several comedic monologues and sketches, which have been performed by her fellow TAPNYC actors. She is also working on a humorous book of her travel stories, titled “The Little Tourist from the Big Apple.”

Fran DeCesare

Director, Bobby Holder and The Actor's Project NYC have been an incredible. All the fabulous writers and actors in the troupe have inspired me to write. I wrote and performed my own monlogue "Annoy Me", and with the help of Bobby's expertise editing I wrote a scene intitled "Wonder Woman".


Stephen Lemay

Stephen Lemay was born in Hell's Kitchen, grew up in the East Village when it was still the Lower East Side, and now lives in Harlem.  Stephen studied writing with Grace Paley and writing for the theater with Wilford Leach at Sarah Lawrence College.  Writing credits include the daytime dramas Guiding Light, Search for Tomorrow, The Doctors, Ryan's Hope, Another World and, most recently, Port Charles.  Stephen's play, SECONDS, is being performed in March 2007 at the Manhattan Repertory Company's Winterfest Theater Festival. 

Rose Costanzo

Rose wrote a play, "Cocktails at the Red Rooster" performed at the Tada Theatre. She is now a member of The Actors Project performing as an actor and has just recently resumed writing, has several monologues and sketches in the works and hopes to have some of her work seen in future showcases with the Actors Project. She states, Bobby Holder has been encouraging and is very generous in offering his guidance and expertise in helping to fine tune the work I am creating and is thanked ever so much.

Katie Paulk

Katie Paulk has been writing short stories, poems, and sketches since she was a small child growing up in Georgia. She used to perform in plays in high school and college, but loves writing more. You may just see her around town trying out newly crafted jokes at an open mic.
