The Actor’s Project NYC (TAPNYC) is a unique theatre company dedicated
to assisting members land agents and get work through quality industry
showcases and quality original plays.
Our method is simple. We
perform monologues, sketch-comedy, and scenes created by our company
writers. In troupe meetings (flexible to actor’s schedules), monologues receive feedback from fellow actors and direction from a director
(scenes & sketch-comedy also receive direction from a director). TAPNYC industry showcases are approached as an Off Broadway production
with a strong rehearsal process in order to present quality, polished
work.
If accepted, this is what members can expect:
Polished Industry Showcases with monologues, music, scenes and sketch-comedy. A performance in a quality midtown theatre such as The Abingdon Theatre or TBG Main Stage Theatre. Exclusive auditions for company plays where actors share in a percent of profits. Resume Workshops. Writing Workshops. Group Career Coaching. Monologue, Scene, and Sketch-Comedy Troupes. Networking. And, Agent and Manager Coaching.
